Aug. 2,2008 Tetons

Yesterday we moved to Colter Bay Campground in the Tetons. This is one of my very favorite places to be in the U.S. We've been here several times but I always love to come back and enjoy the beautiful mountains and Jenny Lake. This is Jenny Lake with the Tetons in the background.Today we will hike around this picture perfect little lake.
We started out on our hike around Jenny Lake and it was pretty warm. It's a 5 mile hike around the lake and the trail is full of rocks and branches and going up hill.We were going to Hidden Falls which was our highlight of this hike. After almost reaching the falls I decided I was to tired to hike up to the falls. I sent Sam on his way while I recouped and then I decided I didn't come all this way not to see the falls.I caught up to him and reached the falls. I'm glad I made it as it was pretty.

Hidden Falls wasn't the most impressive but worth the hike. We came down from the falls to the lake and decided not to hike around to the other side. Instead we took the shuttle boat across the lake saving us a 2 mile hike back.

We had a nice day but we headed back to camp to call it a day.
