Well it's been a long 2 weeks.We left out of Miami on the cruise ship NCL Star on the 23rd of April.This is one of the fun ships they call it free style.The first 7 days it was just cruising and quite rough.We had a outside room and were in the front of the ship.Well for 7 night and days all we heard was a loud banging noise.After a week we got calm seas and the noise finally subsided.The activities were the same thing over and over with really not much going on except art auctions,High buy-ins for bingo and not much payout.They only played 3 games and it cost 39 or 49 dollars.We met a couple at the airport and began a friendship that will be everlasting.If it hadn't been for them it would of been boring.We went to dinner together every evening but a couple nights.The food was so-so.They did have some good entertainment in the evening which we enjoyed.I guess we like RCL Cruises much better. Our first stop was Ponta Delgado,Azores ,Portugal.We took a tour and went to the town of Riveria Grande where they had a town square and with a garden area,church and some very unusal trees.The roots are hanging down the trees and and look like long dry grass.
The area is large craters from volcanos with some beautiful clear lakes.The island is very tropical.
