Our adventure today was to Geneva-on-the lake for the swap meet and a walk around the town.We didn't find any fleas we could live with so we walked around town and stopped for a view of Lake Erie.We ended up having lunch at Eddie's grill and was this place packed. It's like a old 50's place and people were lined up to order their cheeseburgers and fries.Cheap burgers and fries and milkshakes.Just ok.
After eating we headed to Ashtabula and stopped by to see the Hubbard House. This was one of the houses that was used in the underground railroad to hide the slaves heading north.
Hubbard home
We got a view of the Astabula Lighthouse.
As we drove along Lake Erie we came to Point Park where you can view the bascule lift bridge. The bridge raises every 1/2 hour in the summer. It was fun to sit and watch how it worked.
Across the street from the park is the Marine and Coast guard museum with displays of shipping on the Great lakes. You can view the tractors working with the coal and loading the ships.
