We got up this morning and was off to South Bend to see the Studebaker Museum and tour Notre Dame. Studebaker first started making wagons and buggies in the 1800's.
As the saying goes they gave more than they promised. Next we're off to Notre Dame home of the Fighting Irish.
The University of Notre Dame was founded in 1852 by Edward Sorin,a priest of the Congregation of the Holy Cross. It has a student body of 8,000 and and 3,000 graduate students. This college is enormous and beautiful. On our walking tour we go to Grotto of our Lady of Lourdes, this is a replica of the apparition site in France. It's a place of prayer and reflection marked by the glow of the candles.
After all this touring it was time for some chocolate at the Chocolate cafe and home after a long day.
